Why I Built Systim: A Smarter Way to Explore My UX Leadership Work

A Smarter Portfolio for Smarter Conversations About UX Leadership

Over the past two decades, I’ve led UX and CX strategy across healthcare, telecom, enterprise software, and ecommerce. I’ve designed systems that support millions of users and drive measurable business results. But as my portfolio grew, I realized something: the traditional UX portfolio wasn’t keeping up.

Case studies and resumes are static. They show artifacts and deliverables, but not thinking. They don’t show how decisions were made, which frameworks guided them, or how they translated into outcomes for both users and businesses. And for people evaluating me—whether for a senior UX role or a strategic partnership—that lack of context slows everything down.

So I built Systim—a custom GPT trained on my full professional body of work.

What Systim Is

Systim isn’t a generic AI assistant. It’s a purpose-built conversational agent designed to help people explore my work, methods, and leadership philosophy. Think of it as a living, interactive portfolio that answers questions about my experience in real time.

You can:

  • Paste in a job description

  • Share a product or service challenge

  • Ask how I approach UX research, design, or AI integration

  • Explore the results I’ve delivered across industries

Systim then responds with relevant examples from my career—explaining what I did, how I approached it, and the impact it made.

What It Draws From

Systim is trained on my case studies, UX strategies, presentations, project plans, and research artifacts. It covers the full range of my work, including:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield BAM 2.0 – Led a CX and UI redesign for CSR tools, reducing time-to-resolution by 20%+

  • T-Mobile CTUX Transformation – Defined omni-channel CX flows and CSR dashboards that surfaced actionable data

  • Medicare Advantage Enrollment – Streamlined and humanized complex digital enrollment flows for older users

  • Henry Schein B2B Platform – Designed scalable UX systems for a massive healthcare ecommerce solution

  • Samsung App Store (formerly Tizen) – Helped architect foundational UX patterns for a global app ecosystem

  • Randstad Digital + McKesson – Integrated AI into UX workflows, establishing a Center of Excellence for AI-enhanced design

This is not a résumé generator. It’s a context-aware agent that helps you see how my experience and thinking apply to your challenge.

Why I Built It

I built Systim to create a better starting point for conversations with hiring managers, recruiters, product leaders, and collaborators. Instead of sending PDFs or walking through a slide deck, you can simply ask it:

  • “Has Tim worked on something like this before?”

  • “What’s Tim’s approach to usability in high-stakes healthcare workflows?”

  • “How has Tim integrated AI into UX design at an enterprise level?”

Systim will give you a thoughtful, contextual answer—backed by actual examples from my work.

Who Should Use Systim

Systim is built for:

  • Hiring Managers and Recruiters evaluating me for senior-level UX roles

  • Product Leaders and Founders seeking a strategic partner in design

  • Collaborators looking to understand how I think and lead

It’s not a generic resource for writing your résumé or UX copy. It exists solely to help you learn more about me—my work, my methods, and my leadership philosophy.

How to Use Systim

Just type your question, job description, or challenge as if you’re speaking to me directly:

“We’re hiring a Senior UX Designer for a healthcare platform. How does Tim align with this?”
“We’re exploring AI in design research. Has Tim done this before?”
“We’re redesigning a multi-channel CX workflow. What would Tim recommend?”

Systim will map your input to relevant parts of my professional history and show how I’ve approached similar situations—including project scope and outcomes.

A Smarter Portfolio for Smarter Conversations

Systim is the portfolio I always wanted: living, interactive, and built to speak the language of business and design. It helps people understand not just what I’ve done, but how I think—and how I create value.

If you’re exploring a collaboration or considering me for a role, start with Systim. It’s the fastest, clearest way to see how my experience connects to your needs.

Note: a paid ChatGPT account is required to access this custom agent. I *highly* recommend subscribing. Personally and professionally, I find the results worth the expense.

Create your own

Here's a sample prompt for you to use to create your own custom GPT on ChatGPT. Try it with other tools, too!

I want to create a custom GPT that acts as a professional agent for a UX/UI designer. It should help analyze job descriptions, project briefs, or RFPs, and explain how the designer’s experience and skills align. It must reference key projects, summarize business impact, describe research and design methodologies used, and demonstrate leadership or collaborative contributions.

The GPT should also support prospective clients by showcasing example projects, estimated costs, and workflows for typical engagements like SaaS tools, ecommerce platforms, or mobile apps. It should help scope projects, stage deliverables, and guide budget conversations.

Additionally, the GPT should ask the user clarifying questions as needed—to ensure it’s gathering all relevant information before crafting responses. This conversational behavior should help it deliver more thoughtful, insightful, and expert-level guidance tailored to each user’s unique context.

The tone should be professional but conversational, with clarity and usability as top priorities. Each reply should be shaped by the user's input—whether that’s a job post, product idea, or business goal.
